We are delighted to announce a brand new gangway has been successfully installed at East India Quay, marking a significant step forward in the site’s ongoing development.
Made bespoke to Livett’s requirements, the 22-metre long gangway was designed and built by the expert team at Inland & Coastal Marina Systems, and provides safe and seamless access to our mooring pontoon, Remus.
This vital addition unlocks a wide range of new operational capabilities at East India Quay, including but not limited to:
- Visitor moorings
- Crew transfers
- Loading supplies
- Camera boat rigging
- Filming projects
- Facilitating superyachts visiting London
Installed less than two years after we acquired and reactivated the site, this latest milestone reflects our continued investment in making East India Quay a leading destination for marine activity on the River Thames.
“As a deep water berth with no tidal restraints, East India Quay offers unmatched flexibility in a stunning and strategically important part of the Thames,” explains Ed Livett, Managing Director of Livett’s.
“We’re thrilled to make the quay more accessible than ever before. East London is in need of more ways to access the river, and this gangway achieves exactly that in a safe, practical, and sustainable way.”
Situated on the north bank of the Thames, directly opposite The O2, East India Quay is ideally located for a broad range of uses, from logistics and marine services, to live events and film production.
