WHY HIRE BARGES FROM LIVETT'S
Livett’s are one of the most experienced barge hire companies in London, having owned and operated barges of all sizes on the River Thames for over 35 years.
We are hugely proud of the quality and versatility of our fleet, and place a paramount emphasis on the safe and sustainable use of barges on the river. As such we are the go-to company for barge hire on the Thames.
All barges are licenced by the Port of London Authority to carry both goods and aggregate, and have the most suitable life saving appliances on board.
All our marine crew are trained to the latest STCW standards and attend regular first aid refresher courses, while having expert local knowledge and experience in providing barge services on the River Thames and Medway.
Across our 13 barges we are able to transport virtually anything, from vehicles and plant through to thousands of tonnes of aggregate or building materials. Using barges as opposed to road transport in London is also more efficient, greener and helps alleviate congestion.
With over 35 boats in the Livett’s Group fleet, we are able to offer turnkey solutions to your barge hire requirements. Our tugs Felix and Christian are specially designed for use with the Tideway class barges, while we have a range of other vessels suitable for use with the barges or to work alongside them, such as safety boats and workboats.
The varied nature of our barges means they are practical, ideal solutions for a wide range of projects. This could include the transportation of waste, aggregate, building materials, plant or even use as a filming platform on the river.
