This week, Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for its gripping new thriller, The Woman in Cabin 10.
Based on the bestselling novel by Ruth Ware, the film tells the story of a journalist – played by Keira Knightley – who is covering the maiden voyage of a luxury cruise ship.
Whilst on board, she is convinced she witnesses a passenger be thrown overboard, despite all guests and crew being accounted for.

It promises to be an edge-of-your-seat story – and it’s one Livett’s is immensely proud to have played a key role in bringing to the screen.
How Livett’s contributed to The Woman in Cabin 10
With the film set almost entirely at sea, the production required expert marine support.
Our Managing Director, Ed Livett, served as Marine Coordinator for the entire film, working closely with Netflix’s production team from start to finish throughout 2024.
As part of our international marine film services, our involvement spanned everything from sourcing the vessel that serves as the film’s eerie, isolated setting, to planning and executing complex shoot logistics across multiple locations around the globe.
We also provided full marine support during filming to ensure safe and seamless sequences on the water.
We can’t reveal much more for now, but be sure to check back to our portfolio for a full behind-the-scenes look at our involvement after the film’s release.
The Woman in Cabin 10 marks yet another major collaboration between Livett’s and Netflix, following our extensive recent work on Back In Action and The Union.
We’re excited to share what’s coming up next. Stay tuned!
The Woman in Cabin 10 will be released on Netflix on 10 October 2025.
