The North Face Climb Festival London 2026

Our barge Dart was chosen as the platform to carry the 14-metre climbing wall, with build and preparations carried out at King George V Dock ahead of the event.

Once ready, Thames Bosun took on the job of towing Dart into position at Royal Victoria Dock – a precision operation given the scale of the structure, which had to be navigated safely under bridges and through the docks.

Getting Dart into exactly the right spot relied on a bespoke mooring arrangement, with Scheldemond I deployed as an anchor barge. Using her spud legs, Scheldemond I was able to hold and position Dart precisely where it was needed for competitors and spectators alike.

Throughout the event, Bravo Lima GB and Echo Lima I were used to ferry 131 contestants to and from the climbing wall, keeping the competition schedule running smoothly across both days.

The result was another hugely successful staging of the festival, with the climbing wall performing exactly as planned and the event running without a single issue across the weekend. It once again illustrates our experience in delivering complex marine structures for major sporting and brand events on London’s waterways.
