We are thrilled to see yet another big Hollywood movie we have proudly been involved in edge closer to release.
Directed and produced by Matthew Vaughn – the mastermind behind the hugely popular Kingsman franchise – Argylle tells the story of a reclusive author who unwittingly becomes entangled in a global spy syndicate.
Given its description as a “globe-encircling spy thriller”, it’s little surprise that some of the film’s high octane action unfolds on the streets – and river! – of London.
For those keen to catch a glimpse, the below teaser trailer offers a sneak peek into the Thames-based sequences we had the privilege of being part of.

How Livett’s were involved in the filming of Argylle
When the production of Argylle moved to the scenic locales around Tower Bridge and Wapping, Livett’s renowned River Thames filming and marine coordination team were called upon.
We supplied two support vessels for the shoot: Ecocat was deployed as the camera boat, whilst Lima Lima I took on safety boat duties. Additionally we supplied an experienced skipper for the scene’s hero boat.
Initial filming took place in October 2021, before a reshoot the following year. The film will be released on 2 February 2024.
Following the long-awaited release of The Boys In The Boat, it’s fantastic to see another film we helped bring to life be enjoyed by everyone in cinema screens. There’s plenty more to come from our marine film services team on both the big and small screen, so stay tuned for exciting updates!
