Everyone’s favourite blue-haired hedgehog is speeding back into cinemas this Christmas.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 sees the titular hero, plus his partners Tails and Knuckles, being tasked with stopping a mysterious new adversary, Shadow the Hedgehog.

In his bid to save the world, the adventure sees Sonic travel to the heart of London for the first time in the movie series.

You can watch the trailer here:

With London landmarks including Tower Bridge and Big Ben taking centre stage, it won’t come as a surprise that Livett’s River Thames filming and marine coordination team were enlisted to assist with the film’s production.

We can’t say too much at this stage, but we helped with scenes filmed around Tower Bridge, as well as another sequence shot in the Canary Wharf area.

Several different vessels and barges were deployed to make sure the production team got the perfect shot every time – including one Livett’s-owned boat starring on screen!

We’ll be sharing more details about our involvement in the film with a dedicated portfolio piece in the new year, so stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, you can catch Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in cinemas from 21 December 2024.
