The highly anticipated new season, named “24 : Live Another Day”, will again follow the action-packed events in the life of CTU agent Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland). Scheduled for release in May 2014 much of the filming has taken place here in London, with one scene including an car crash near Aldgate station.
The evident London theme in the filming has carried through to use of the river, which is where we came in during the early hours of Wednesday 29th January. Two of our vessels were involved in the filming at Morden’s Wharf, Greenwich; Delta Lima was supplied as a safety boat, while the Lima Lima III took the stage as the action boat in the scene. One of our skippers, David Arnold, was captain of Lima Lima III and was in full costume for filming!
This was the first large filming project that Delta Lima has been involved in since being added to our fleet at the end of 2013. The MCA coded RIB was treated to a substantial overhaul last year and is licensed to carry 8 passengers + 2 crew. Capable of speeds of up to 40 knots, she is ideal for a range of services including filming, high speed response, and diving activities.
