Livett’s coordinate spectacular Arsenal kit launch

arsenal kit launch river thames

In July, Livett’s provided the marine coordination for the PR event to launch Puma’s new Arsenal kit and our vessels & crew were all involved on the stunt.

Livett’s worked with Innovision and EMF Live Technology to create the giant waterscreen,  showing the projection of a 90 second video featuring various stars of the London club including Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere, and manager Arsene Wenger.

Project Coordinator Edward Livett and Fleet Superintendent Matt Harris were involved in coordinating the event from start to finish, over a period of approximately 6 weeks. This included careful planning, sourcing of necessary vessels and equipment, regular liaising with the client, as well as executing several rehearsals and the event itself.

The pump system was rigged on the side of a 10m x 9m pontoon, that sucked up water from the Thames and then onto a metal plate, which shot the water up into the air in a semi-circular fashion. The first rehearsal of this was in the daylight at the Royal Docks and a further rehearsal took place a week before the actual event took place on July 10th.

The final result looked fantastic and was widely enjoyed by the press and those lucky enough to be passing by. The project is yet another hugely successful PR job accomplished by our skilled team – to find out more about similar projects or to enquire about our marine coordination services, please click here or call 0207 378 1211.
