Early last month we revealed the exciting news that Bennett’s Barges had been nominated at this year’s upcoming Construction News Awards.
A busy 2016 saw the company undertake many projects on the River Thames throughout the year, including complex marine civil engineering jobs on the Thames Tideway Tunnel and Baynard House.
And owing to the outstanding quality of work on the projects, Bennett’s secured a nomination in the Specialist Contractor Of The Year (turnover under £100m) category.

The judging process for these prestigious awards is now in full swing ahead of the ceremony, which this year is being held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday 13 July.
Bennett’s Managing Director Chris Livett presented to the judging panel at the end of April, introducing them to the rich history, values and innovation of Bennett’s, while also detailing the company’s extensive recent work and successes on the River Thames.
Bennett’s are enormously proud to be finalists as it once again highlights the hard work every member of staff has put into making all jobs on the Thames a success, as well as emphasising their position as a market leader in the field.
We’ll continue to keep you up to date with any award news, but in the meantime please explore our Case Studies page to see some of the diverse projects Bennett’s has been involved with on the water recently.
