Nike’s latest advertising campaign, Nothing Beats A Londoner, broke cover earlier this month.
Focused on the “unbeatable” London spirit, it features sportsmen and women demonstrating their abilities in a wide variety of sports. It’s already been cited as one of Nike’s biggest and best adverts ever and has racked up over five million YouTube views in under two weeks.
We’re delighted to say it also marks another addition to the Livett’s portfolio of filming on the River Thames, as we ably assisted with the advert’s two key marine scenes.
The first of these was the rowing team segment, themed around the fact that anything other than first place is considered “failure!”
This scene was filmed around the Hammersmith area and Livett’s provided the camera, action and safety boats as well as expert marine coordination and use of Putney Pier, which we own.
We also provided the camera and safety boats and marine coordination for the later “swim or die” scene, the filming of which took place in the Royal Victoria Dock.
Both scenes we helped film were done so efficiently and safely, and we’re delighted to see them take their place in what will inevitably come a very memorable Nike campaign. You can watch the advert in full here:
Indeed, the latest project arrives hot on the heels of the news that 17 films or TV shows that Livett’s have provided marine film services for are currently on Netflix.
