Trigger Point Series 4

Over the course of three previous series, Trigger Point has built a loyal following for its high-stakes bomb disposal storylines. With series four focusing on even bigger set-piece scenes, episode two saw Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) and her team take to the River Thames.

Livett’s was brought in to support the sequence, with rigging carried out at Durham Wharf ahead of filming a scene that saw the EXPO team racing up the river as they respond to an explosive incident, before disembarking at Cory’s riverside worksite in Charlton.

Lima Lima I took on the role of hero boat, appearing on camera as the vessel carrying Lana’s team. Alongside them, Romeo Lima provided dedicated safety boat cover, ensuring the shoot could run smoothly and securely throughout.

To capture the action, Bravo Lima GB was deployed as the camera boat, providing the stable filming platform needed to follow the sequence at speed.

Two members of our own team, Colin Murphy and Sam Preston, also made it into the finished scene – although you wouldn’t be able to make them out, as they were fully kitted out as members of the armed bomb disposal team to drive the boat on camera.

With all three vessels deployed and safety cover in place, the sequence was filmed successfully, giving the production the pace and authenticity that only the River Thames can offer.
