SANTANDER 123 WORLD GOLF
BETTER BY WATER
PROJECT DETAILS
When: September 2014
Where: Tower Bridge
Santander wanted to capitalise on their partnership with major-winning World No1 golfer Rory McIlroy prior to the 2014 Ryder Cup by tying it in with a launch of a new product.
McIlroy was set the challenge of hitting a floating world map in front of Tower Bridge to win members of the public a holiday!

HOW LIVETT'S MADE IT HAPPEN
Livett’s provided the local knowledge and marine expertise to make this stunt a success. We provided a build location, barges for the floating tee and target, along with camera boats and safety boats. The tricky element to this job was ensuring the floating target remained in position in front of Tower Bridge in order to give Rory – and later Boris Johnson – a chance of hitting it!
CLIENT FEEDBACK
"I just wanted to drop you both an email to say a massive thank you for all your hard work, support and assistance in pulling together and delivering the Santander event last Thursday on the Thames. It was at times quite challenging for all involved and I know that plans kept changing slightly, even up to the day (with the fog and Rory’s flight being delayed) but I think that despite these potentially ‘hitches’ the event well very well. Once again a massive thank you – I really appreciated all your efforts. You made what on paper should have been the hardest point of the event actually the most straightforward."
