The River Thames continues to be a hugely popular location for film and TV productions of all sizes.

As the premier providers of River Thames filming solutions, we are delighted to have been involved in many more high-quality shows in recent months. Of these, three have just hit the small screen:

Anatomy of a Scandal

Netflix’s new limited series about a politician’s affair arrived on the platform on 15 April and instantly became their No1 trending show.

Livett’s assisted with the rowing scenes in the second episode of the series. Filming took place on the Serpentine in Hyde Park, with us providing all required camera boats and Echo Lima I being deployed as the safety boat.

Idris Elba’s Fight School

This new BBC series sees film star Idris Elba seeking to transform the lives of eight young people through the power of boxing.

The opening section of the series’ fourth episode sees the youngsters do battle in a rowing race, which Livett’s helped facilitate. Working in collaboration with Fulham Reach Boat Club – who we also combined with for the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die – we helped coordinate these scenes on the Thames.

Sister vessels Echo Lima I and Indigo Lima were used as the camera boat and safety boat respectively. Their shallow drafts made them ideal for filming in shallow waters, such as those around Fulham.

All five episodes of Idris Elba’s Fight School can be watched now on BBC iPlayer.

Killing Eve

Killing Eve has been a worldwide smash since launching in 2018, so we were naturally delighted when the River Thames was chosen as the setting for the series’ grand finale.

We won’t share any spoilers, but we can reveal that the Dixie Queen – the largest passenger vessel on the river – plays a central role in the show’s conclusion. In addition to providing the Dixie Queen, we also supplied all camera boats and safety boats, as well as coordinating the marine activity.

The entire Killing Eve series, including the dramatic climax, can be watched on BBC iPlayer.

There’s lots more to come, too – we are currently working on several major film and TV productions on the River Thames and on other UK waterways. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for more details as and when!
