The River Thames continues to be a hugely popular London filming location for projects of all sizes on both the small and very big screens.

As the premier provider for marine filming services on the river, that means it has been a very busy start to 2020 for Livett’s. Our team has been involved in numerous major productions already this year, covering various locations and specific requirements.

Take a look at what we’ve been up to so far this year…

Marvel Studios project

Filming for Marvel Studios’ latest epic superhero adventure took place in two lesser used locations, Camden Lock and Wapping, which demonstrated our versatility and knowledge of the Thames and connecting waterways.

During the week of night shoots that took place, we provided camera boats, safety boats and safety swimmers to ensure the required filming took place successfully and safely. The film is due out later this year and we’ll share more details about our involvement nearer the time.

Nokia advert

To tie in with the release of the upcoming new James Bond film, No Time To Die, Nokia filmed a stunt-laden advert in central London. Two of our vessels were used for the shoot, Delta Lima being deployed as an action boat and Echo Lima I as a safety boat.

Filming for the advert made the press in late January, but you will have to wait until November to see the finished version hit TV screens to coincide with the film’s release.

Bollywood film

Our luxury passenger vessel Edwardian took centre stage for the filming of a new Bollywood blockbuster, as it was used as the venue for a major dance scene. This marks the latest in a long line of Bollywood productions we have previously been involved in. We look forward to seeing the finished results!

BBC soap

We were also extensively involved in the filming of dramatic scenes on the River Thames for a high-profile BBC soap. We can’t say too much about our involvement just yet, but make sure you stay tuned for a lot more information on the website in due course!
