How Livett’s are helping the Thames’ special visitor – a £225m super yacht

The River Thames plays home to all sorts of different vessels every single day, although its latest visitor has been attracting more attention than most.

The huge Motor Yacht A had heads spinning as it made its way up the Thames and under a raised Tower Bridge in the wind and rain on Saturday afternoon.

Sizing up at 390ft in length, it is one of the world’s 25 largest superyachts – and boasts luxuries such as three swimming pools, and cabins for up to 14 guests and 42 crew members.

It is currently moored alongside HMS Belfast and will remain in the heart of the capital for the next few days.

As always, Livett’s have been acting as the go-to for luxury vessels such as these during their stay in London. MY Vanish marked the start of the capital’s luxury cruise arrivals this year back in May and we’ve helped look after many similar superyachts and larger cruise ships since.

But it’s fair to say this one we may have quite literally topped out with this one!

We assisted with the “A”’s mooring alongside the Belfast, one of the many excellent mooring locations in London that Livett’s helps manage, along with providing other services to the yacht.

We also liaised with the PLA on behalf of the superyacht’s crew in arranging the Belfast as a mooring location, and continue to arrange other ongoing services.

Our highly helpful Marine Consultancy Service is just one of the many wide-ranging and varied services that Livett’s assist in throughout the world of marine logistics.
